I Have worn the back of my front top teeth until They chipped and were uneven. This actually caused uneven wear on my sax and clarinet mouthpieces. The dentist "filled" the teeth with ceramic filling material. It holds up pretty well, but I had to have them patched up a little after about 4 years. I love them and would do it again.
