Hello! My 2 daughters have proven that they are sticking with the clarinet and I’ve decided to upgrade their current student models (Jupiter 637 and Yamaha 250). Im currently interested in the Buffet E11 and the Jupiter 1100S intermediate models. Both are around the same price so cost is not a factor in my decision. Both are wood. The Buffet has nickel plated keys and the Jupiter has silver plated keys, a raised C/G tone hole and a extra E flat key and a nicer thumb rest. I know that these frills aren’t necessary, however my daughters current ABS Jupiter includes the raised tone hole and she has really grown to love it. I know the E11 is a well known model and is great quality. That being said, I’ve been extremely impressed with my daughters student Jupiter and actually prefer it to my other daughters Yamaha 250. It’s a big purchase and I just want to make sure that we select a good model that will be with them for many years. Since the E11 is really popular, I’ve seen ample positive reviews online. Has anyone had experience with the Jupiter 1100S? Help!
