I once fixed a Bettoney plateau clarinet that had silicone pads installed. I liked that they were waterproof, but they needed a special (green?) adhesive hold them in place.
The only silicone pad on the market I know of are these:

Haven't tried them yet but they look promising. They even have cork on the back so you can use any glue.
