Well Ive picked up a couple of used VanDoren 5RV MP's on eBay.
One an 88 the other a Lyre.
These are the "442" not the Series 13.
To that end I'm anticipating they may be sharp when I play in the local Community Band.
Obviously I'll need to pull out some.
So which to pull out... the MP or the Barrel, and if you had to guess, how much would you think I would need to pull out?
One MM or so?
Keep in mind this would be stuff I would likely know had I had some lessons
Unfortunately just had group lessons in school, and not many of them at that :(
Could use a tuner, but would just like to keep things simple.
BTW I seem to be in tune when playing in the Band using my Vandoren m13
Series 13 .
Now before anyone mentions it I realize many will think the M13 might be the better MP to use, but I just got the 5RV's for something new to have
