I've discovered a method of restoring mouthpieces and barrels etc to their original black and without the use of chemicals or paints.

I have read many historical posts that propose the use of various substances but my method does not use anything other than my secret method. I've attached photos of the before and after on a 5RV mouthpiece to demonstrate and will be considering proposing a service to players and the possibility of a business venture.

Headlight restore or plastic polish works great for this. I've also used regular metal polish when the discoloration is great. IDK how viable of a business model this is considering it wold basically be people paying you to polish their mouthpiece for them. Unless the cost was low most people would do this themselves or just upgrade their mouthpiece, or ignore it. Maybe if you also replaced the cork and re-engraved the logo to make the mouthpieces look "as new".
