If you are in the Cleveland area, I highly recommend heading over to the Bop Stop on Wednesday (10/4/2017) for the second in a series of six programs on the clarinet in jazz. I found the first, two weeks ago, to be quite entertaining and educational, featuring the music, life, and philosophy of Sidney Bechet.
This Wednesday's program is on Jimmie Noone. The presenter, Eric Seddon, knows roots/NOLA jazz and is an excellent player. He gives a nice mix of information, anecdotes, and great music performed by his quintet, Eric Seddon's Hot Club. Plus, the Bop Stop is a fun venue! Local craft brews from Platform on tap:-) And only a $12 cover.
