Hi,
Can anybody recommand some music for clarinet and cello? My best friend is going to marry next month and it would be nice to give her (clarinet) a piece of music she can play with her new husband (cello).
Thanks!

Cellos can play bassoon music and there's a fair amount written for clarinet and bassoon (Duet Concertino by R. Strauss comes to mind).

Try Prelude # 7 in Eb major from Bach's Well Tempered Clavier, book 2. It lends itself quite well to clarinet/cello. Also Prelude # 20 from the same book is good.
And, the stuff from Last Resort Music publishing, (Music for two, music for three, etc.) is interesting.

Bethoven wrote a trio for clarinet, cello and piano that was really nice.
