I also play on Fobes San Francisco RR for a year and a half now. It sounds terrific on my Yamaha 221 plastic horn, as well as on a Yamaha 622 and Buffet Prestige I've come across. For me it is lightyears better than the Vandoren B45 or B44 I used to play. I use Vandoren Blue Box 3s.
Or maybe send your C* to David McClune for refacing? Both Ed Palanker(who posts here from time to time) and Michael Lowenstern recommend his work.
Maybe I should leave this question for the more qualified guys to ask, but I assume there is something you're not happy with the 2 Selmer mps that led you to search for a handmade mouthpiece?
