 Buffet Radio Model Bass Clarinet
Author: tanoh

I just found a Radio Model Buffet Bass Clarinet from 1962 in the back of my repair shop and I can't really find any information on it. Does anyone know anything about this horn? Pricing, quality, sound, etc... The serial number is 206XX (I can't really make out the last two digits)

The Buffet Radio Model bass and also the Radio Model alto clarinet were made for the French Symphony orchestra that played on the radio in the late 1950's and also in the 1960's. The wood is exceptional on these professional models. For a long time Walter Grabner used a Buffet Radio Model bass clarinet as his main instrument.
