For all you mouthpiece addicts who like to open your wallets and throw vast sums of money at Kaspar mouthpieces, here's a Henry Dubois clarinet on eBay that reportedly includes one (I can't get the photo to come up on my browser, but then again, I ain't interested in this piece). So, perhaps someone can have a Kaspar mouthpiece with a clarinet thrown in for free...

I agree!!!!! Buyer, Beware. Not all Kaspars were good ones. When I purchased my two Chicago Kaspars in the 60s, I remember going through six or seven before I selected the two that I thought responded and sounded the best. My main concideration for switching to Kaspar in the first place was to help lower the pitch of my upper register notes and that was something that Kaspars were known for because of their smaller upper chamber (not necessarily only the "Kaspar sound") . FYI--our local college professor told me that she has a "drawer full" of Kaspars that are "no good." Something about being refaced incorrectly. Also, Greg Smith makes two great Kaspar models (Chicago and Cicero) that he sells for a lot less than you will probably pay for an EBay "take your chances" Kaspar mp. Good luck, all.

I got a great Kaspar Cicero from an eBay seller (although not on auction) who sent me several to try and I selected the best one. But, it is true that they are not all good. Several of the ones I tried were truly garbage, yet people bid high bucks on these things all the time.
I, too, like the lower altisimo and the powerful sound of the Kaspar and have a Charles Bay Cicero 13 clone that is excellent. I'm in the process of getting a Greg Smith Kaspar and have heard rave reviews from all who own them, so I'm looking forward to it.
Buyer beware on mouthpieces you can't play-test and return.
