I have acquired a very old G. LeBlanc clarinet. I am having a horrible time figuring out how old it is because the model number isn't showing up on any records I have found on the internet. The model number is 2954. They are estimating a $300 repair cost but cannot tell me how much this guy might be worth! The woman that gave it to me told me it was her mother in laws. She was in a jazz band that toured around town and she played from when she was 7 to 70. She died when she was 87. Not sure when that was. She gave it to me for my 11 year old to play in band but it just isn't playable right now. Not sure if I should sell it and buy a new one or what. I would appreciate any knowledge anyone could give me as I have none! Thank you.
