Thanks Greg,
I already took your earlier advice and have put the Lade,B&H and one of the Bundys on e bay.
That leaves me with the Evette which was in a bit of a mess like several clarinets I have bought on e bay or in a second hand store. its amazing that some sellers just dont even bother to clean them.
The Evette is in a nice condition apart from the pitting but I manged to get amost of it off so far. Not too worried because I intent to keep it and maybe get it professionaly maintained. There is a small leak which seems to be comming from one of the trill keys but I just renewed the pad so it may need to bed in? I was worried that the second trill tone hole was slightly damaged but does not seem to be leaking.
I will also keep the B12 which is like a stock instrument and in good shape. The Yamaha had a big repair job done on it so is almost unsalable but plays a treat so will keep that as well.
So far I did not notice any improvment from the wooden model but need to sort the leaks first.
The Vandoren only fits the B12 and the Evette (great news it is a good one BTW.
So for the Yamaha I will continue with the 4C.
Reed wise I have had most joy with the Rico 2.5 normal ones, how do you rate them?
Finally I have tried a leather LIG. but prefer the metal type, can you recommend a metal one for me?
Many thanks
John
