 Buffet E-11

I know that nowadays E-11s are considered a student/intermediate model, but I have one that was made in 1937. Does anybody know if E-11s would have been professional clarinets before the R-13 came out?

There were no E-11s in 1937. Buffet only made one model of clarinet back then (excluding the Albert and harmony instruments).

Are you using the Buffet serial number chart? This is only valid for Buffet's professional instruments ("pre-R13", R13...). What's the serial number?

Edit: I should clarify that Buffet did make other models with more complicated keywork, and a few metal clarinets, but this is not relevant to the original question.
