i have a key which is too low down. The one which operates the low e with the little left finger. i think it has become bent down.

Can i bend it back up again? how much can it be bent without snapping?

If you have a pair of flat or Nylon tipped pliers you can remove the key and bend it slightly upward. Don't try to bend the key while it is on the instrument or if you do not have the right pliers. You can generally bend them pretty far before they snap, but if you are worried you can always heat the key up before you bend it.

It is usually preferable to bend (or straighten) keys while on the instrument unless it's not possible, though either method has its own risks.

If bending off the clarinet, if anything touches the hinge tube (or actually even regardless), have the rod screw inside the hinge. A common mistake is to accidentally bend the hinge tube and then you can't get the rod screw in.

I think Bundy has stepped left pinky levers? I can't remember. If they have pins and you bend the lever while it's on the clarinet, you need to to put something under the other (pin) side of it so it doesn't put the force on the pin.
