I'm going to Disneyland this summer and also considering visiting the Yamaha plant to buy a clarinet there. I don't know the "customs" there. Do people just walk in and try out instuements to buy?
1) do you need to set a reservation or is it just a walk in try out clarinets thing?
2) I might buy a Ycl 650, csvr, or a sev. Can you buy it from them? Do they sell it at retail price or at a discount? Any experience buying from the plant would be useful.
Any experience from the plant would be appreciated.

Give them a call and make an appointment. (714) 522-9011
Yamaha does not sell directly to the public; you'll need to contact an official Yamaha dealer and arrange the sale through them. Depending on the dealer, the pricing can be quite attractive!

No, No, No! Do not pop in there. You will surely be turned away nicely!Appointments are a MUST. Maybe by invitations only. They will be really strict, but nice. It's a pretty secured place. Changes are they will ask you what music store you like to do business at and they will send a clarinet to that store of your choice. This is fine, because their horns all play well! I don't think you will get a lemon.
