I've put much effort into these following pieces in no particular order.....

- Weber concerto number one and cocertino (starting on #2)
- Artie Shaw clarinet concerto
- Motzart Concerto and Quintet
- Stravinsky 3 pieces
- Brahms first and second sonatas
- Shumann Fantasy pieces
- San Saint's sonata
- Copland Sonata
- (starting work on the Copland Concerto)
- Adagio-Tarantella by Ernesto Cavallini

Methood books
- 40 studies by Rose

Other Instruments
- Motzart flute concertos

Most of these I have worked on by myself. I can not get enough of these wonderfull pieces

In the future
- The Concerto and 5 bagetelles by Finzi
- Bernstien concerto
- numerous others

I would also like to get a clarinet group together to play some of the pieces on the CD "Blues for Sabine" (Sabine Myer & Eddie Daniels) because it is perhaps one of my favorite CDs.

My list is not complete as I forget every piece I have worked on. Most of them I painfully worked on during my own time because up untill recently my teacher and I would only have enough time to work on other stuff. Now I have an hour lesson and can work on these great tunes.

I usually work on compitition pieces with her. I also work on etudes, scales and am tought pearls of wisdom. I like to work on the pieces to apply what I know and because they are cool.

I find highschool is "dumbed" down. We play difficult pieces, but nothing notable, really. I recently performed the Barber of Seville overture, though. That was fun. =) That was with my outside band, though.

Well let's see, my list isn't quite as extensive as some of the others, partly because our music programs start in the seventh grade and I started in the eighth grade. But hers the list so far and its not complete this is just the big things, in the order that I appened to do them starting with the summer of ninth:
Mozart Concerto
Stamitz Conerto no. 3
Solo de Contours
Ferguson's Four Short Pieces
Finzi's Five Bagtelles
Weber Concertino
Flight of the Bumble Bees
Rossini's Introduction, Theme, and Variations
and currently working on:
Strauss's Romanze
StamitzConcerto in E flat

Well these are just thebig pieces that I've played not including all of the little pieces in between, you know, from books and things that my teacher happens to pick out.

A lot of these I have worked out on my own. I've played a few at contest, others I do for fun.

Weber: Concertino
First Concerto
Second Concerto
Mozart: Concerto
Osborne: Rhapsody
Stamitz: Concerto No. 3
Copland: Concerto
Shaw: Concerto (jazz)
Brahms: Concerto in F minor (I've worked some, but not enough)
Klose: Method Book
Rose: 40 Studies
32 Etudes

I have copies of lots of other works, including the first two Spohr concerti, and other works of that magnitude. Maybe someday, when I feel like spending a few months on them, I'll work those out. Until then, I''m working the Klose book and Rose etudes. I'm hoping to get a book of orchestral excerpts, but at the moment I don't have one.

In order:
Mozart Quintet
Weber Concertino
Weber Concerto No. 1
Mozart Concerto
Stravinsky Three Pieces
Finzi Concerto
Brahms Sonata No. 2
Copland Concerto (I just started this)
Orchestra: Peter and the Wolf, Rodeo, West Side Story Symphonic Dances
Band: Everything by Alfred Reed (musically lacking but fun clarinet parts)
I also know a bunch of jazz solo transcriptions, I'm now trying to learn Moonlight Serenade. On violin, I've played two Bach concertos, some Vivaldi concertos, a Beethoven sonata, a bunch of string quartets and I'm currently working on the Mozart Concerto No. 5.

Let's see where I used to be (Austin, TX) I mainly studied etudes and only one solo piece per year. It was kind of a bad situation there.

This year, however, I attended Interlochen Arts Academy andI have worked on lots of stuff since I came here. In all of my high school years (I will be a senior next year) I have worked on the following in no particular order:

-Mozart Concerto
-Weber Concertino
-Tartini Concertino
-Poulenc Sonata
-Schumann Fantasy Pieces
-Stravinsky Three Pieces
-Saint-Seans Sonata
-Hindemuth Sonata
-Brahms Sonata No. 1
-Jean-Jean Arabesque

Method Books etc. :

-Rose 32 & 40 etudes
-Jean-Jean 18 etudes
-Cavallini etudes

-Baermann Book 3

-Tons of orchestral excerpts

There might be some other stuff but that's all that comes to mind

In 7th grade I worked on:

Clouds In Summer by Hovey and Leonard (an easy, pretty grade 1-2 piece)
Nocturne from Concerto in G Minor by TH. Verhey op. 47
Concerto no. 3 by Carl Stamitz (mostly the 3rd movement, this was really hard for me in 7th grade though)
Andante con Eleganza by Gabriel Pierne
Studies and Melodious Etudes for Clarinet by Lowry
Forty Progresssive Melodies by Apollon Marie-Rose Barret

In 8th grade:

Concerto no. 3 by Carl Stamitz (mostly the 1st movement)
Scene and Air from Luisa di Montfort, op. 82 by Michael Bergson
Adagio from Concerto k. 622 by Mozart
A heck of a lot of studies, Baermann, etc.

This year in 9th grade:

Foundation Studies from Baermann book 3, op. 63 by Hite
32 Etudes for Clarinet, by C. Rose
Concertino op. 26 by Weber
Sonate by C. Saint-Saens
Adagio-Tarantella by Cavallini
Six Duets op. 70 by Mozart

In Concert band (yay, finally got in!):

Raise of the Son, by Rossano Galante
William Byrd Suite (mvt. I the Earle of Oxford Marche, mvt. IV the Mayden's Song, mvt. V Wolsey's Wilde, mvt. VI the Bells) by Gordon Jacob
Pageant, by Vincent Perischetti
Bugler's Holiday, by someone I don't remember
Concerto for Trumpet and Trombone, by Severson/McDunn
Carnival of Venice
Danses Sacred and Profane (May Danse, Danse Macabre, Estampie) by William H. Hill
Concertino for Clarinet and Band by Frank Bencriscutto

In Symphonic Orchestra:

Piano Concerto no. 2 in G Minor, by Saint-Saens
Cello Concerto No. 1 in A Minor, by Saint-Saens
Violin Concerto in E Minor, by Mendelssohn
Rhapsody in Blue, by Gerswhin (no, not the solo part)
"Nimrod" from Enigma Variations, by Elgar

In Pit Orchestra:

The King and I, haha ;) over 100 pages of music

In youth orchestra(not the top group, unfortunately)

Overture to Russlan and Ludmilla, by Glinka
Overture to Zampa, by Ferdinand Herold
Symphony no. 8, IV. Finale by Dvorak
Russian Easter Overture, by Rimsky-Korsakov
The Sorcerer's Apprentice by Paul Dukas
The Cowboys, by John Williams
Symphony no. 5 I. Allegro Con Brio and IV. Finale by Beethoven

Um, I'm glad it's summer so I had all the time to look this stuff up and write it down. I hope SOMEONE gets something out of it, hinthint. I only included band and orchestra music from this year, sorry, I'm not that crazy.

Hi there,

This is a bit old thread, but I still would like to contribute :)

Im currently 16, and have played about 6 years.
Here is the stuff that I remember right now...

Music I have played throughly and performed in a concert:

Bentzon: Theme and Variations
Cavallini: Adagio and Tarantella
Crusell: Introduction, Theme and Variations (performed with symphony orchestra)
Finzi: Five Bagatelles
Mozart: Concerto 2nd Movement
Rabaud: Solo de Concours
Schumann: Fantasy Pieces
Stamitz: Concerto #3
Weber (Kohler): Introduction, Theme and Variations (played with string quartet)
Weber: Concertino
Weber: Concerto #1 - 1st Movement (performed with symphony orchestra)
Weber: Grand Duo Concertante

Crusell: 3 Duets
Poulenc: Sonata for 2 clarinets

Stuff Im currently working on:

Saint-Saens: Sonata
Hindemith: Sonata
Weber: Concerto #1 2nd & 3rd Movement

Etudes:

Uhl: most of 48 Etudes part 1
Rose: 32 & 1st part of 40
JeanJean: 1st book
Klose: Exercises Journaliers

And I think I have played through for my own fun almost every remarkable clarinet work, just trying to leave something to perform for later years :)

In a symphony orchestra:

Sibelius: 2nd Symphony
Rachmaninov: 3rd Piano Concerto
Tschaikovski: Piano Concerto (dont remember the number)
Musorgski: Images from a gallery

I think you may mean "Pictures at an Exhibition" and not "Images from a Gallery", Adam.
