Over the years the B12s were made of differing "plastic" materials.
Some of the earlier ones were a very hard plastic, almost like bakelite, and probably less likely to warp in the heat than later ones.
As to other horns, well the same applies, it depends what exact formulation of plastic was used.
Finally, no musical instrument (OK you may get away with brass) should be left in a hot car in summer and be expected to work properly thereafter.
