 help to "name" Buffet clarinets
Author: Karen Jones

Hello to all. I have been given two clarinets, an A and Bb and I would like to get as much information as possible about them. There is no model name, it has the brand logo, just Made in France, I have checked the serial numbers, 144575 and 144816, and they were made in 1974. There doesn't seem to be any more distinguishing marks. Are they R13? I will appreciate any help so thank you.

Curious, I'm sure I answered this post earlier !
when I indicated that those serial numbers date from 1974.

At that time I think the only models made were R13, RC and S1
The RC and S1 always had their model type designated on the top joint, so if no i/d shown it will be an R13.
