That YouTube poster, Stephen Clark, has posted some fantastic recordings, as far as I can tell never commercially released, of a number of great musicians. After listening to the above I switched to his posts of saxophonists Donald Sinta. Wow, more amazing stuff.

Then I angled back to clarinet and heard Drucker's (incredibly fast) performance of Weber's Quintet finale. Musically it didn't seem to fit terribly well, but my jaw kept hitting the floor anyway.

YouTube is great, but it cuts into my sleep.

He makes such extraordinarily gentle work out of the piece that it is almost soothing to listen to. In place of the usual wrenching out of the high notes, he coaxes them out and they dance for him.

Clark also put up Wright's 1990 performance of the second Brahms sonata, nicely detailed and finely shaded:
