 Do Backun Barrels fit older clarinets

I have a Yamaha YCL-34 as a backup clarinet, and I was wondering if backun barrels will fit on it considering the line was discontinued in 2001. Does anyone know if the barrels will fit?

I find it funny that you consider that an old clarinet, I have an instrument made in 1896 that I use a MoBa barrel on XD

Can you measure the socket on your existing barrel? I have a Backun barrel I can measure to see if it will fit. Im fairly confident they should fit but measuring your instrument is the only way to be sure.

I once had a YCL-34ii (late 1980s?) paired with a Backun barrel - no problems with fit. Sounded great. It was a Ringless model like this one except mine was an 'EX':

Backuns fit my 60s models, although I had to use a piece of paper to get it to stay on. If I were to actually use them (instead of my Moennigs) I'd just recork my top tenon.
