I am using almost exclusively legeres but it has been difficult to find suitable ligatures since most of them are slippery with synthetics. Also, legeres are thinner and some ligatures do not fit well. Can anyone recommend me a good ligature that will make my combo more stable?

The Signature European Cut reeds are thinner and wider than the regular Signature, which is shape-wise more like standard cane reeds. They don't fit in the Vandoren Masters ligatures at all, and Bonades will require more bending to get the horizontal bands to not impact the reed shoulders. Folks using Rovner or Silverstein or similar-style ligatures will have an easier time.
I switched to Ishimori's Woodstone (metal) ligature, as it happens to work great with the Legere reeds. I stopped by their booth at NAMM this past weekend, and it's great to see their product becoming more available here in the US.

I'm getting good results with the Rovner Versa - the original, not the newer X1.
The X1, because the plates are V-shaped, seems to slip to one side or the other of my Signature Euro reeds. I like the musical result of the X1, but it's too tedious a chore to get it lined up, keep it still when I tighten it and then, much of the time, find that it has moved anyway and needs to be redone.

I've had excellent results with Ishimori (Brad Behn has them, Clark Fobes seems to sold out right now on his website...don't think there's much difference in cost). They're pricey, but excellent.
I'd buy the Kaspar ligature Ed recommended just because it's a cool piece of clarinet history. And I've had excellent service from Muncy Winds.

If I've learned anything with my experience finding a ligature to fit the Legere reeds, it's that truly what works for you will be unique. None of the advice I received on how to make the reeds work was successful.
- With my Rico Reserves, I couldn't get my BG to grip the reed. I almost bruised my fingers by trying to turn the screw so tightly. The reed still moved.
- The Ishimori gold ligature also didn't grip well enough and night did my vandoren m/o.
Turned out that for the thinner signature style reed that the Silverstein was perfect.
HOWEVER! Turns out that the original Legere's work MUCH better for me than the signatures. Those reeds are thicker like normal reeds and guess what? They work with all those ligatures I mentioned above. I should have ordered both styles of reed instead of assuming the signature was the best reed based on the marketing.

Though I'm firm in my opinion that the other ligatures didn't grip the signatures... The success of the others that contradict me just proves how much variation there is in each person's individual experience. Try everything!

Rovner and Luyben work for me with the Legere (on the Luyben, be sure to break it in as the instructions suggest) ... slick nickle plated metal ligatures like the inverted Bonade and Rico RCL1 terribly slip, actually moving upward as you tighten the screws. A partial solution is to sand or brush the inside of the ligature or use a piece of electrical tape on the MP.
This month, infatuated with the M13-lyre and VD 56s, going back to Legere may have to wait a while ...

I'm using Rovner Mark III. My son uses Rovner Dark. Both work fine for us once adjusted and tightened. Getting the reed positioned is definitely trickier than with cane though

I use a Vandoren Optimum with my Legeres. Peeling off the label solved the slippage problem.

Actually the string ligature works pretty well with Legere on my German setup. Maybe Vandoren Klassik is a possibility.

I use Francois Louis Ultimate ligatures on my Bb and Bass Clarinet. SOMETIMES I a little tricky to position..but once you have them set, they don't budge..and I use Legere reeds on both. Heartily suggest you try out the FL Ultimate. Dropped the Silverstein Lig on Bass for the FL Ultimate.

I'm using a Rovner Star ligature. It looks like their Dark lig but has slits cut into it to mimick strings(as I see it).
