Hi!
My partner has hit a road block and has lost her passion to play clarinet at the moment. She needs some new music to get her excited about music again, but I play harp so I have no idea what clarinet music sounds good or where to find beautiful clarinet music. Any suggestions would be really appreciated!! She has been playing for 4 years so nothing too easy but also nothing crazy tricky. She loves classical clarinet.
Please help. Music changed her life 3 years ago and I want her to find that love for music again.

Consider a book with accompaniment on a CD. The "Music Minus One" and "Jamie Aebersold" series might interest her.
If you can read guitar chords on harp, you might play duets. There is a lot of sheet music written that way, including fake books. Remember that the harp is in C and the clarinet is in Bb.

Paul Reade's Victorian Kitchen Garden Suite is a wonderful piece, not super difficult, for clarinet and harp.
There's also the Richard Stoltzman Songbook, but unfortunately, it's out of print. There are used copies available, but they're expensive ($194 and up on Amazon). You might be able to find it in a library, or you could contact the publisher, Carl Fischer. They might have it in their archives, and if they do, they could probably make you a copy at a more reasonable price.

First, it would probably be a help to her if you could figure out what has caused her change of attitude.
Next, it would help you to get recommendations if you could suggest what her current playing level is and what kind of music she enjoys listening to. What has she played recently? Did it frustrate her in some way?
