What about this ad on Yahoo auctions?

Any guesses about what you're actually bidding on?

Just goes to show how people can really blow it with copying from their other listings. These "Indian Army" clarinets have been showing up on eBay for a long time so I'm not surprised that they're appearing on yahoo.

THAT'S ONE OF THOSE CHINESE CLARINETS! I know because I was suckered into one of those about 3 years ago for about $50. It has huge red pads and the keys are plastic. Stay away!

Connie -
They're unplayable and unrepairable.

And many of them use the "Simple System", a forerunner of the Albert System, rather than the Boehm.

RUN, don't walk the other way. These won't even make a good lamp. The simple system keys and red thread on the joints are the giveaway.

I almost bought one of those indian army instruments, but I began to wonder why so many of them were for sale from different sellers using the exact same ads. One of sellers was honest enough to tell me he got suckered into buying one and was trying to "unload" it. He suspected many other people had be suckered and were trying to do the same thing.
