eBayer is selling a Conn 424 which sounds OK from description; has a money-back-if-not-happy offer coupled with pristine feedback. I own a Conn 424 and they are nice horns --- big sound! mw

Well, he/she doesn't know how to spell "Abilene" or "Rotan, Texas." But, I remember the McDaniel Music Store here in Abilene, Texas. Those are legitimate descriptions, so if I were looking for a Conn clarinet that had great documentation from its owner, I'd buy it. Just make sure you spell your city very slowly to the seller.

Actually I have nothing against advertising fluff. I've seen absolute marvelous horns go for peanuts due to poorly written descriptions and junkers go unreasonably high to well written ones.
Even if the rhetoric gets a little overdone, it can contain good information. It's far better than those listings whose complete description consists of "clarinet."

Yes, if you're really wanting to know about what you're getting, it's better to read too much than not enough. But, in the case of pure hype--that's another issue.
Jerry, isn't it unreal how hard it is for people to spell Abilene? That person should write their ads in Word or something with a spell checker before listing.
I liked your new spelling of Dallus.
