Has anybody played this work? I like it so far, but I've seen close to no information about it, and I can only find one recording (posted to Youtube, ripped from a 1994 CD by Victoria Soames Samek). What little I know of this music comes from knowing Milhaud and Poulenc.

I'm pretty sure you're talking about the Sonatina, a short and curious work. I've played it and I like it.
Taillefirre was an interesting woman. I did a paper on her in college and I remember her biography being very interesting with one notable incident where her husband at the time was upset and tried to stab her in her pregnant belly. Sadly that's the one story that stuck in my mind...
Anyway, the piece is interesting and worth performing....

The only thing I can remember about it is that it was "barless". The work is still in print and can be had from the Flute de Pan in Paris for a very modest sum (they do mail order). I met Madame Tailleferre when I was a youngster and she was in her late 80s. -a charming lady. Half of "Les Six" are just about forgotten: Durey, Auric and Tailleferre. Unjustly forgotten, I might add.
