I use a Rovner Versa ligature(previously the ED-II) on my bass clarinet, and the original mouthpiece cap that comes with it turned to be too small. Do you fellow Rovner Versa users here find the same problems with the cap size being too small? If so, what solutions do you use?

Not on either of my Versa Bb ligatures. Is your mouthpiece unusually wide?

If it is just a little loose you can use a fix I first saw used in Runyon caps. Get some Velcro strips with adhesive backing. Typically 1" wide. Line the inside of the cap in the ligature area with the carpet side of the strip. The hook side also can work to get a better fit.

My Rovner cap is a tad loose... try buying another one from Weiner or another retailer. They are inexpensive. You may get a better fit.

My bass mp is a Fobes San Francisco(Zinner Blank), which to me doesn't seem to be too wide. I already have an identical cap from my back-up Mark III lig, and it also doesn't fit the Versa.
Just to clarify that this only happens on the bass ligature, I do not have this problem on my Versa and MK.III Bb ligs.
With all that being said, I tried some other caps since the last post, and apparently the only thing that fits is the BG bass clarinet cap.
