I'm using a ycl 200 with a Moba barrel and I'm looking for an upgrade. Do you have any good recommendations? I'm looking at the leblanc bliss l210, ycl-csvr, r13, and backun protege. Do you guys have any recommendations?

You can find new store demonstrator Yamaha CSVRs for about 2.5K. A new Ridenour Lyrique Libertas is under 1.9K (they will send one to you to try with a credit card). A new Yamaha YCL-650 (very good and similar acoustics to SEV) is under 1.9K. A new Ridenour RCP-576 is under a grand.
Too many to choose, almost.
I don't purchase used stuff (cars, clarinets, etc.) of anything that I have to use a lot and depend on. I like new.
Tom Ridenour and Yamaha are super!

With some careful shopping, I'll think you'll be able to find something nice in that price range. Other good possibilities: Yamaha 650, used Selmer 10G, and
Ridenour Libertas.

You can not go wrong with a used R13 that has been completely overhauled the proper way on Ebay. There is a reason that 87 out of every 100 clarinets sold are R13's.

I heard that Yamaha's are more consistant and have better intonation but lacking in the traditional tone that Buffets are known for. I heard that the CSVR is like a Buffet R13 and there is a really nice one in my music store that i am thinking about buying. I, myself, prefer yamaha because of their ergonomic key positioning. I don't really like buffet's "cramped" finger holes. Do you guys think that I should get the CSVR for $2000 or should i get a R13 on ebay?
These are some of my options:
1) Get a Leblanc bliss l210 ( i heard that it goes really well with a moba barrel which i have)
2)Get an r13 from ebay
3) get the CSVR from my music store
4)get a demo backun protege
What you guys thoughts?

Have you checked out the Libertas? If you haven't, you should at least give it some consideration. Brand new for less than $2K and some say will play circles around an R13.

Much depends on how you are going to use the clarinet. If you intend to go into a college program where the studio teacher requires Buffet R13s, or possibly play in an orchestra where the whole section uses R13s, then the Buffet would be your choice. If neither of these restrictions applies, and especially if you can get the Yamaha CSVR for $2000, the Yamaha would be the better choice. But be sure to try it well first, because all brands and models have variations within them, and some individual instruments may be below par.

You should try the instruments you mention and see what you like. It is hard to make a suggestion on what will work for you. That said, Yamaha makes a great clarinet.
