I'm 100% a clarinet nerd now that I own, and like, the alto clarinet.
Mine needs a little restoration, most notably the bell key needs a spring.
Never having ever even seen one; what type of spring does it take and how is it attached / installed?
Anyone who happens to have this instrument and could send a pic or point me in a good direction?
This is the latest addition to my every increasing collection...

Needle spring, press-fit into a small hole drilled into one of the posts for the key, same as on just about every other brand/model of alto/bass/contrabass clarinet known to mankind. What else do you need to know?

First Alto so I thought it might be different somehow. Once I got a good look at it, I saw that it was a needle spring. Not sure of the size but I'll figure that out.

Does it matter? I mean, it is an alto clarinet, after all.

Many years ago, I bought a Bundy alto clarinet at a low price and found that a slight undercutting of most of the tone holes improved the general sound and brought the slightly flat low register better up in tune. By the way, I also bought a Conn bass saxophone from the same person, to high F.
