 Bundy bridge mechanism

I have a Bundy student horn. The lower bridge has a pronounced ramp on it which greatly exaggerates the effect of twisting the joints relative to one another. As a result it's nearly impossible to get into adjustment, the smallest twist in the relation of the upper and lower bridges causes the bis key mechanism to go out of adjustment.

Is this typically a problem on Bundys?

This situation is found on many clarinets, even Buffet R13 Prestiges!

I've found this problem on several makes of clarinet. On some I've actually twisted the ramped section to make the ramp slope less acute and on one instrument where it was particularly bad I filed the ramp to a more reasonable profile.
