What's up with this clarinet?

Does anyone have any info about this clarinet?

The auction is about to end- I'm not interested in buying it- but I've never seen anything like it before. The last picture mostly shows what I mean.

It is a "standard" (vs elaborated) Simple/German/Albert system clarinet. Still in use in Germany and Austria, sometimes said to be favoured by Jazz and Klez players.

You don't sound like you are a clarinet player...of any system...would that be so?

If that's the case I'm not surprised.
