Hello clarinet peeps,
I am a composer working on an EP. I have composed 2 neoclassic songs with clarinet lines. Right now I have the sheet music and a digital mp3 of them, but would truly love a live recording of the pieces. They are not too complicated I think. I am willing to pay $25 for each track and once you record the tracks I will mix and master them on Logic Pro and have them ready for my EP 🙂 Please let me know if you are interested. So you want someone who's not only a competent clarinetist, but presumably a decent recording engineer as well? Given that things in the studio never go as quickly as intended, we're talking about $25/hr at best...for tracks that will have no performance royalties from.
Personally, I'll take a pass on that.

Hi, I'm only looking for clarinet players; not sound engineers. I distinctly said I'd be the one taking care of mixing and mastering, not the player..... The reason the pay is what it is, is the clarinet lines are short. I will credit all players in my EP when it comes out. I'd like to think that I will get some performance royalties.... Anyway, good day to you.

Hi, locke9342! Good to hear you're interested! Unfortunately someone reached out to me already about these recordings.... BUT, I do have additional clarinet lines for pieces that won't be on my EP, just on SoundCloud in the future. Are you still interested?

Hey! I understand! It would still be paid, unless I'm completely broke I always pay my players because they're doing me a favor, and it's time and effort. It's not urgent or anything, so if you're still interested, I can send you an email (I'd rather not do it in a public forum) with the sheet music, and you can tell me if it's something you want to do down the line
