 Anybody Know Free Online Metronome?

Looking for a free online metronome that has a strong first beat: like
ONE two three or ONE two three four. Get confused and need a first note of measure emphasized beat.
Free downloadable od free use online would be good.

The other alternative for you may be to actually COUNT the beats...for a start anyway.

Soon your brain will accomodate your counting and it will become automatic, and you won't need a metronome.

Are you implying that the OP doesn't need to use a metronome at all? This is wrong on so many levels.

We are human beings. We are not perfect. For example, does your heart beat at exactly the same rate all the time? No. It slows down when you sleep and speeds up when you are excited/tense/frightened and during exercise.

A metronome is a machine. It is (or should be) perfect.

One needs to use a metronome to learn what a steady beat feels like. Only then can you start weaning yourself away from it.

I've been a professional for over 45 years, and I still use a metronome every practice session.

''...Are you implying that the OP doesn't need to use a metronome at all?...''

No.

A metronome is a means to an end and its use is valuable in implanting a sense of rhythm.

I'm suggesting that the poster of this question train his/her brain to anticipate the particular beat he/she wishes to memorise. We use muscle memory to recognise that we have placed our fingers on the correct keys, without thinking about it. In a similar way, we will be able to recognise the start of a beat, or bars, or segment of music intuitively - but with much practice, dare I say.
