Just wanted to put my two cents out there; the recently released Selmer Focus and Concept Bb Clarinet mouthpieces have begun popping up in stores, the first I've seen being Kessler Music. A few months ago these mouthpieces were brought to my local music store for a product event over the summer. One of each model was there for employees to test. After the event had ended I went in to try mouthpieces as I was in the market for a new one. After trying many Vandorens, they brought these Selmers to my attention. After playing on both of them I would just like to let the word out that they are fantastic mouthpieces. I purchased the Focus model (the more traditional closed tip) that day and have been playing on it for about 4 months now as my main mouthpiece. Selmer has definitely stepped up their game with clarinet mouthpieces and i'd highly suggest test playing some of them and throwing your Selmer bias out the window because they truly sound amazing on my Buffet Festival.

Tried Selmer Focus bass clarinet mouthpiece before. To me resistance too low and sound thin with v12 3 1/2. I like the B40 much more.

I would just like to reiterate, this is not about the bass clarinet mpcs, I'm talking about the newly released Bb versions. I have no experience with the bass clari models.
