I play in an informal clarinet quartet and we are looking for quartets written by female composers. Any ideas?
Actual clarinet quartets would be best, but any that can easily be played by clarinetists would be great, or in a format that they can be transposed using MuseScore (.mscz files)
Many thanks

Shameless plug: I arranged François Couperin's "The Mysterious Barricades" (originally for harpsichord) as a clarinet quartet. Since I'm an amateur, these pieces can be downloaded, listened to online (your computer trying to pretend it's clarinets . . . good luck with that . . . ) or printed out free of charge on Score Exchange:

If you can get a quintet together, I've also posted an original piece for clarinet quintet, "Metamorphosis I: Luna Moths,"

Those two pieces can also be played by a clarinet choir. I've included the individual parts arranged for various choices of clarinets (choice of soprano in A or Bb, for instance) that can be printed out separately from the full score. The link below my signature goes to my main page where there are some original scores for other clarinet music.

Ellen Taaffe Zwilich has a clarinet quartet. It isn't one of her best pieces; though to be fair, it is a clarinet quartet.

Thank you for that link! "FuGaGa" is relevant here because it's a Lady Gaga song (arranged for clarinet quartet by Nenad Petkovic), but I hope everyone will follow up by listening to Nevsky's other YouTube recordings, especially the comedy olio, "Blowbasterds." (Ever try blowing a clarinet while someone else fingers it? That's the "Mission Impossible" ending of "Blowbasterds.")
