Hello all! I am currently working on "Immer Kleiner" by Adolf Schreiner and the very last note of the piece is a concert D-flat played on the mouthpiece alone. I'm having trouble not getting more than 15 cents sharper than a C on the mouthpiece. I've been working a lot with voicing but it doesn't seem to be very accurate in getting the pitch up. Does anyone have any tips as to how I can reach that D-flat easier??

I had the same problem when I performed that piece. My solution was to get a scrap mouthpiece and cut it shorter at the tenon. To raise the pitch almost a half-step, cut 1/8" off. Using a hack saw and a miter box worked fine; you don't have to smooth the end. If you are sharp, then hold the mouthpiece so that your thumb and index finger effectively make the air path longer.
I put the scrap mouthpiece (with reed and ligature) on the music stand. I used a small table to put the removed pieces on. Putting the first mouthpiece and barrel there gives you two hands to pick up the scrap mouthpiece. There was plenty of time to grab it.

It really doesn't matter a huge amount honestly. By that point the audience should be in hysterics and applauding.

What Peter said. I had the same issue when i played it years back, and just ran with it. At that point its about showmanship, not perfect intonation. It ain't Beethoven...

I think there's a clue in the name of both the piece and the composer...
The required pitches for the mouthpiece/barrel and mouthpiece only sections are very difficult to achieve with a French clarinet - getting up to concert Ab and the final Db is absolutely impossible on my Leblanc LL / B45. However, there's no problem at all using a German instrument - both mouthpiece and barrel are (generally) shorter on these, and the music is written to take advantage of this.

So the solution- get a German system mouthpiece and barrel to use (but play the rest of the piece on your French clarinet)

Actually the pitches are not that bad for a "French" clarinet. The mentioned LLs are a bigger bore so the noted would be flatter. I had the same issues when I played this on my old 1010 bored clarinets.
At the end of the day it doesn't matter in this showpiece
