Does anyone have any recommendations for microphones that can have the dynamic levels and the range of a clarinet? I found that the one I had previously bought was poor suited for when I had to play fortissimo/pianissimo or in the altissimo range.

Here's part of what I wrote in another thread...
***********************************************
For US$250, I can buy an excellent condenser mic here in Aussie.

TO THE ORIGINAL POSTER:
Try out a few of these in your area. In addition, go to Youtube for user reviews. Here's one for the MXL 550 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-X-LFXylOAM

These might suit you:
MXL 606 for $106
Behringer C1U for $117
MXL 550/551R (pack) $138, that's for TWO mics

...and the list goes on
