Dear All,
I was wondering if anyone can tell me, does either Pictures at an Exhibition (orch. Ravel), Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto No. 1 or Sibelius 7 have any Bass Clarinet parts?
Thanks

Pictures (Ravel version) does have a bass clarinet part. Don't know about Sibelius 7, although I'm currently playing Sibelius 6 which has a fairly nice bass clarinet part. Tchaikovsky Piano Conc. -- I think not ---- as far as I know, the only time he ever used bass clarinet was in the Nutcracker music (we don't count the few notes in his 6th Sym. where bass clarinet is usually substituted for the bassoon on the descending ppp notes).
