I got a new wood clarinet about 4 months ago and in these long rehearsals, the condensation runs down to my jeans (gross, I know). I've been prone to a lot of condensation so I'm used to it, but I saw that the condensation from this new clarinet has a yellowish tint and it has been staining my jeans. Is this normal for a new wood clarinet or is this something I should be worried about?

It's probably just a bit of the natural colour of the blackwood leaching out of the surface of the wood. Nothing to go to the doctors about.

The pads will also get stained brown over time, but that's normal with wooden clarinets.
