I thought I posted about this already, but couldn't find it, so this maybe a double post. I found this
http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Newest-17-key-Buffet-Crampon-R13-clarinet-with-case-wholesale-from-China-Free-Shipping/32351434067.html?ws_ab_test=searchweb201556_0,searchweb201602_2_10017_10021_507_10022_10020_401_10018_10019_101,searchweb201603_9&btsid=2c8b91df-5912-4414-8f62-6a848b8bdbef
Anyone know if it's legit?

Sir. I think the post was removed. Maybe it was my sassy response, which in simple terms said that it is so unlikely to be legitimate that no reasonable person should recommend, in good conscience, another to follow, or should in fact anyone follow this offer.

It's a legitimate fake alright - it's a B12 knock-off with R13 stamped on it.
Show me a genuine Buffet R13 that has 'R13' stamped into the top joint.

I'd say the odds of this instrument being a genuine R-13 are approximately zero. For $145, you can find out for sure and let us know. Or, for a little extra, you could order the "selmer buffet clarinet" they have advertised.

I thought it had been removed as well, but last time that happened I received some sort of notification, which I did not get this time.
I didn't think it was real to begin with, but I can't help but thing there is always a chance. I have seen a R13 with R13 stamped on it before though. According to my teacher it does happen.

..."there is always a chance"
true.
But sight unseen we're forced by prudence to deal in probabilities, not possibilities.
It's not the R13 stamp for me (although certainly noteworthy) it's the price. It just doesn't comport with fair market value for me.

Wow! I could keep myself entertained for hours just reading that site . . . .
"Salma: the world\'s first wind industry, international standard!" That's a given.
"For the first time playing the musical instrument quality, tone, intonation, feel is very important for beginners," Those things are really quite secondary for professionals.
"Adjustable hand holder" Is that what they call a private teacher?
"French selmer buffet clarinet" Everyone wants one of these.
"Selmer Buffy 17 Key" It has been to the gym.
"New professional JAZZOR JZCL-300 Clarinet" Hey, mom! I just have to have a new Jazzor clarinet. All the cool kids are getting them.
And on and on and on it goes.
locke9342 -- You are very wise to ask for input when you are not sure. I hope you don't mind my poking a little fun at the web site. People here don't always completely agree with each other. However, most speak from extensive experience, will ALWAYS give you the best information they have, and will NEVER intentionally steer you wrong.

locke9342: nothing personal
BartHx: is it possible you missed the part in the ad about "966 pieces being available"....whether you like it or not
somewhere a cymbal just crashed
(we'll in fairness, not entirely true..you see you get to pick how many of the 966 "pieces" you want)

I had to stop somewhere. :^)
Out of necessity, I am the chief cook and bottle washer around here and my wife was starting to get hungry. She insists that I continue to participate in our community band so that I have some time away from taking care of her (I'm comfortable doing that because she has one of the world's greatest service dogs). Since today was my birthday, I fixed some salmon steaks and those need to be watched carefully. I will, most likely, get back to the site later for more entertainment.

An R13 Prestige will certainly say "R13 Prestige" on the top joint, but on an oval silver plated badge set into the top joint.
A regular R13 only has the Buffet logo on the top joint and nothing else. They will have R13 stamped on the backs of the barrels and bells (along with the pitch and barrel length reading R13 B 660), but nowhere else.
R13s are usually made of wood but also Greenline composite and never made from plastic.
A Genuine R13 will have 'Made in France' under the Buffet logo as will a fake B12 as B12 clarinets aren't made by Buffet and therefore won't be made in France (but made by Schreiber in Germany).
Steer clear from sites like Alibaba, etc. as it's usually cheap and nasty Chinese tat on there. Likewise with a lot of new stuff on eBay parading as something it clearly isn't.
