Back in the Bronze Age, when I was small, the old folk used to sing a folk song that has stuck in my head these many decades, and I'd like to identify it.
I don't remember the words, only the melody. It's Czech or Slovakian, I'm nearly certain. Certainly Eastern European.
I've tried a few time to find someone who can identify it, but no luck.
Can anyone here point me to someone who might be able to help?
Thanks.
B.

Write out the tune and post it so someone will be able to recognise it.

Tried the posting thing, but no response, and SoundHound didn't help.
I was hoping for the name of a ethnomusicologist who's familiar with Eastern European folk music.
Cheers.

I know some, but I know way more Balkan than Slovak/Czech/etc. I do have a Czech friend however. My email should be available when you click on my name...Just let me know.

Do you have living parents or other relatives a generation older than you? Ask them.
Can you write out the notes and post them here? Some of us might be able to help.
