I just got first chair in band! i think i am going to make it into the music world! I feel so unstoppable....I am starting to play the Weber Concerto Mov. 2. It is very exciting! I hope I get first chair in the New York Orchestra some day. Come listen to my concert next week!

You are very well on your way. I presume that you are studying with someone privately. If not, let me recommend that you seek out someone for private lessons as this will go a long way in helping you keep your position and gaining the help which will keep you there. I did that when I was in my second year in HS and was never beaten during the two remaining years in school. That was over 50 years ago! I credit my teachers with giving me the tools with which I could work and grow to become a teacher of Band for 37years and a professional player for several of those years. Gool Luck!!

That makes me mad, people blindly reach out and offer support, and all you can say for yourself is "Haha! You guys are idiots."
Okay, that was a bit defensive, but I like reading about how well people are doing and complimenting them. It helps keep one strong, I've gotten a lot of encouragement from this board, and I hope people like this don't change anything about the board.
