I saw a video of someone using cigar humidor packs purchased online for reed bag humidity. Anyone here use these and if so what is source for inexpensive brand and about how long do they last?

BGBG: Hit the search link at the to of your thread and type "Boveda"in the search box, maybe "Rico" as well, and click the Submit button.
Lots of threads will come up on how Rico's version of the product is just Boveda's brand repackaged for them, along with discussion on longevity, how to keep the packs lasting longer, and user reports of their benefit.

I priced some of these and came to conclusion that as a hobbyist I do not need such high tech devices. The pill bottles and sponges seem to be working fine so far. Yet I may still want to try a few few just to see the result.

Yup. Rico hydrapaks are rebranded boveda packs. So I bought some boveda pals and keep them one in a ziplock bag with my reeds. I bought a three pack of 50% (I think it was a guitar case refill pack or something) They are huge, and I have no doubt they'll last a year each.
