Piccolo Clarinet altissimo

Hi everyone, I Finnaly Bought a very good mouthpiece for my piccolo clarinet (in past i did a topic about this). I Bought for 45$ a B44 and now i'm using vandoren 3.5 and i have no problem when i reach G6 [G6]

when I try to reach G#6 (Ab6) [G#6]

It starts the problem because the notes are inaccurate, If i try to focus i'll do the highest armonic. I know is very hard to reach the C7 [C7]

but i want try, I'd like to use piccolo clarinet in jam and it could be helpful for me.

The extreme altissimo on Eb clarinet is a very difficult area. Every clarinet is different and that includes different samples of identical make and model.
Hadcock probably covers it in his book but basically you have to experiment experiment experiment and find fingerings that work on your clarinet.

If i'm able to find this book free on internet I'll watch.
In mine case i don't a book or some kind of exercise, the problem is the fingering, because i'm used with b flat clarinet to press those key to do for example the A6:

o x x o o o (

in piccolo clarinet it's innacurate. When I try B6 [B6]

it's worst...

Of course I won't hurt myself or the clarinet if it's hard to reach the altissimo register. As I Think it is a matter of calm and time

I didn't find the book free, but i'm trying different combination.
Today I reached the A6 and I did the the G#6, I hope to reach A#6, B6 and C6...

Ah

[G#6]

For G#6 i used these different position:

o x x x x x 2

and

x x x x x x 2

(2 is the key of F # low/ C # chalumeau)

[A6]

and for A6

o x x o o o 3

and

x x x o o o 3

(3 is the key of F low/ C chalumeau, I prefered this because is very powerful and very tune)

Mirko, in your last post do you mean G#/A7 or G#/A6? Ref C4 in the header of this page. Either octave is possible, but based on your initial post it appeared you meant G#/A6. However, your second post threw in B7.

Better check my own assumptions: B7 is a 7th above C7, correct? I.e., notes between C(n) and C(n+1) are all (n) notes, correct?

Today I discovered B6 for piccolo clarinet [B6]

position:

x x x 6 o o o

or

x x x 6 o o o 3

(6 is the key of C#/G#, with 3 it's more shrill)
