 Inglese - Scherzo Fantastico
Author: Ken Shaw 2017

Here's an excellent YouTube performance of Angelo Inglese's Scherzo Fantastico played by Antonio Tinelli with the composer conducting the Festival Latinoamericano de Música orchestra https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BSQwhyNupM4. Despite the title, it's a fairly short 3-movement concerto.

It's highly tonal, influenced by movie music and jazz, with beautiful lyrical sections and brilliant fast sections. It sounds like it's within the abilities of the typical performance major -- less difficult than, say, the Nielsen Concerto.

Tinelli plays really well. I was struck by the economy of his finger movements -- 1/4" at most. His clarinet looks like a Buffet Prestige with the German adjustable barrel. There's some very good bass clarinet playing in the orchestra.
