I'm wondering if there's such a thing as a box or hard case that will be far more protective than the flimsy foam case that was/is supplied with Selmer basses.
Bam are out of the equation as they're also soft sided and Wiseman cases are too pricey.
Will Selmer low C basses fit in a Yamaha case?

With the pick and pluck foam insert, this might be a possibility

I've had a Wiseman case for many years, it's great. Mine is made for a low C bass, mine's a Selmer, and can accommodate one clarinet as well but I never used it for that purpose, I carried a portable custom bass stand in it instead.
