Hello, everyone! I'm performing a Senior Recital at my university next semester and I was wanting to perform a piece on the bass clarinet with a friend of mine that plays the violin. Unfortunately, I'm having a lot of difficulties finding pieces that are written for solely bass clarinet and violin (with or without piano accompaniment).
I know that there are gobbs of pieces written for soprano clarinet and violin, but would anyone happen to know of any pieces with this specific orchestration?
Thank you all in advance!

There are undoubtedly some (few) pieces for violin and BC. Otherwise you'll need to adapt other music. There are plenty of works for violin and cello and (if you're comfortable in the high range) for violin and viola. The two Mozart duos come to mind.

Well, I play the clarinet; not any string instruments. My friend is the one that plays the string instrument.
Would you happen to know any websites that have these pieces for bass clarinet and violin? I'm willing to just not play bass clarinet for my recital if I can't find a piece, but I think that it would be very interesting if we did play a piece with that orchestration.
Thank you!

Hi Sara,
I think what Ken was recommending is that you might find a better selection of music by broadening your scope a bit, and being willing to transpose a cello part to use on bass clarinet. It would provide you with a lot more options in your search.
Best of luck in finding something.
Cheers,
Fuzzy

Oh! That makes a lot of sense. I'll see what I can come up with!
Thank you!
