 New neck or solution for Yamaha YCL 221 intonation

I know this has been discussed before, but the few posts I've been able to locate are years old.

I have a Yamaha YCL 221 and, while it has served me well, the intonation issues are really making me look bad. I'm the bass player in a clarinet ensemble and the director and I have really been struggling with how sharp my horn is. I've heard that this particular model was tuned to 442, not 440. I wish I knew that before I purchased it.

Anyway, I'm wondering if there is a longer neck I can buy that might help. I haven't been able to locate one yet. Or, is there something else I can try? Every time I play the horn, I have to pull the neck out as far as I can, and sometimes the middle joint as well, but I believe this sacrifices my tone. If anyone knows someone who still offers bass clarinet necks, please point me their way! It would be appreciated!

A=440 vs A=442 means 7.8 cents...not insurmountable.

I presume you're coming from soprano clarinet. You still play with a soprano embouchure? Do you have a bass teacher who owns and actively plays a bass clarinet? What's your mouthpiece and reed setup?

A new neck will only help you with your throat notes.

I used to focus on soprano, but I dropped that and I have been playing nothing but bass for about four years now. We do have a very good teacher who actively plays bass - he's he director of the ensemble, in fact. He himself had suggested a different neck to me in the first place.

I've been playing on a Fobes Nova with #3 V12s, but just recently purchased Walter Grabner's Lawrie Bloom mouthpiece, which I'll be buying 3 1/2 reeds for.

Okay... (I have a (besides my Low C Uebel) a Jupiter 675 with a Nova and #3.5 Grand Concert Selects, play at A=442 and have to pull the neck about 3 mm)

How much too sharp (on a tuner) are you on average? Are the other players on the flat or on the sharp side?

(I'm just digging a bit here...)
