 Plug for the donation drive
Author: Tony F
Date:   2016-02-27 10:25

Not wishing to tread on any toes here, but the donation drive seems to have died due to lack of interest. This is probably the best and most effective forum on the net for all things clarinet, and its run by one person who is doing it for nothing. Sure, times are tough, but all that's needed here are running costs. This years drive is well down on previous drives. Surely we can afford to do better for such a valuable resource.

Ditto Tony F - don't worry about stepping on toes, people need to help Mark keep this invaluable resource going.

C'mon folks, dig down in the pockets a bit!

Yeah, it's a slow world out there, looking at the dono-meter.
Apparently we're all used to and expecting "free as in beer".
Next we bemoan the trend of jobs going overseas because it's cheaper there.
Can't have it both ways, can we?

I think the last donation was mine and that was a couple of weeks ago. Bumping this thread since it's been buried. Hopefully everyone is doing their little bit to help, even if you are late to the party, like me!

I gave early, and enough to hurt a little bit. Come on guys. Mark will take $5 or $10, which everyone can afford.

We all need this resource. Dig down a bit and contribute.

I am always amazed at the amount of activity on this board. It is a great resource with so many people weighing in on an incredible range of topics.

Look in the equipment drawer and sell something on the classifieds (which is a free resource here) and donate a portion of your profit from that unused mouthpiece/ligature/etc.

Mark -

Please let us know how much the donation drive has brought in so far on and about how much you need in addition to break even. If the situation is desperate, I can chip in some more.
