Does anyone know of any low-priced basses for sale in Indiana or Southern Illinois? I'm looking for an affordable, good-quality bass. The age of the instrument does not matter to me. I most likely won't buy just yet, but I want to start looking.

For me in my current state? In the range of $10. But once I find a job, I can make payments for as long as needed. But I'm thinking in the range of 500-1000. My bass private teacher in high school got her Buffet for 500, it's the pro model from the 60s, if memory serves. She bought it after it had only been played for two months and then stored until 1990 when she bought it. It was in practically perfect condition when she got it, because of age she needed new pads though. I am hoping to run across a deal like that, but I know the odds are low.

Ask Lohff and Pfeiffer USA they are based (heh) in Bloomington, Indiana and have plenty of used and refurbished bass clarinets.

I'm actually quite close to Bloomington, while at school I'm only 5 hours away. I will have to check with them and call them at some point! Thank you!
