 Malerne Clarinet

I've just bought a bargain Clarinet R.M Malerne model Professional stamped with four stars in the logo.
Only replaced some bad pads on the lower joint and now in playable condition.
Can somebody please give me the manufactor year of this horn ? . Serial number is D2048 on both joints.

My parents gave me a new Malerne Professional (probably purchased through Sears) for Christmas in 1955. It was probably made in 1955 or perhaps 1954. The serial number has a D prefix and is about 1200 higher than yours. I don't know Malerne's annual production of this model. But, given the size of their operation, I would guess yours is probably from 1952-55.
